Rebecca Mendribil, Esq.

Attorney at Law

When Rebecca Mendribil was in undergraduate school, she watched a documentary about the Memphis Three, a group of teenage boys wrongfully convicted of the murder of three young boys. It was then that she made the decision to apply to law school and defend the constitutional rights of individuals facing criminal charges. While in law school, Ms. Mendribil clerked with a long-established estate planning firm and also developed a passion for counseling clients in arranging for the management of their estates.

While seemingly dissimilar, the two practice areas shared a common goal; assisting people, often in crisis, by advocating for their interests and clarifying otherwise overwhelming decisions and court processes.

After graduating law school, Ms. Mendribil worked as a private criminal defense attorney, predominately defending medical cannabis patients and collectives in criminal and asset forfeiture cases. As cannabis laws evolved, her practice grew into assisting with local licensing and defending code enforcement actions, and eventually with obtaining state licensing.

She has been counseling, advising and defending cannabis businesses for over a decade and continues to evolve her practice to encompass the complicated and ever-changing regulatory challenges facing cannabis businesses under the new state laws.
